Community Co-Creation: Story Stitch Expansion Pack
Green Card Voices invites you to a dynamic co-creation session designed to shape the next evolution of Story Stitch, a storytelling tool that sparks empathy-building conversations across lines of difference. This session focuses specifically on racial equity, health equity, and gender and sexuality—areas that deeply impact our communities but are too often left out of collective dialogue.
We’ll begin by playing Story Stitch using the original deck, inviting you to engage with prompts like “Tell about a time you felt part of a community” or “Share a moment of overcoming a challenge.” This shared experience helps participants see the power of storytelling to reveal connection, deepen understanding, and open hearts.
Then, we’ll move into small group conversations where you’ll reflect on your lived experiences and explore the questions we should be asking around race, health, and identity. What stories do we need to tell to better understand one another? What prompts would help spark conversations that are healing, honest, and real?
Together, we’ll co-create new storytelling prompts that reflect your community’s needs and truths. These prompts will inform a new set of Story Stitch tools designed by the people, for the people, to be used in schools, workplaces, libraries, and gathering spaces across Minnesota and beyond.
This is more than a focus group. It’s a space for community creation. A chance for you to shape tools that challenge bias, foster empathy, and build connection. Your insights will directly shape how future generations engage in conversations that matter.
Food and materials provided. All are welcome.
Especially those eager to be part of building more inclusive and connected communities through storytelling.
