Illustrated in powerful black and white images from Egyptian-born illustrator Achraf El-Attar, this harrowing story chronicles Zaynab’s journeys from Somalia to Yemen, to Egypt and ultimately to the United States. Zaynab’s experiences through war, illness and leaving her sister behind in another country leads her to a life of advocacy for her country and girl’s education.
