This unique teaching lesson utilizes the perspective of Thai Chang, a Hmong refugee born in Thailand, who works in the STEM field as an Exhibit Developer and Fabricator at the Science Museum of MN. In line with the National Common Core Standards, this lesson is perfectly suited for grades 6-12, as well as college age.

  • Students will apply the K-W-L note taking strategy
  • Students will name at least one country from previous lessons
