Ri-Ann Iosinory is a resilient young woman, born in Chuuk, Micronesia. Her life has been shaped by the journey she and her family have gone on, traveling to Guam, Kentucky, and eventually settling in Hawai‘i.

At the age of ten, Ri-Ann had to say goodbye to her island home, relocating to Guam with her family as her father sought medical treatment. This move marked the beginning of her journey as she later moved with her mother and father to Hawai‘i, leaving her siblings behind in both Guam and Kentucky.

Despite the challenges of moving multiple times, Ri-Ann remains steadfast in her pursuit of education and personal growth. She currently resides in Hawai‘i, where she is attending high school and navigating the complexities of adapting to different cultures.

Ri-Ann’s deep-rooted love for her family and her cultural heritage has guided her in figuring out what she wants to do in her future. Ri-Ann aspires to become an author, using her writing to share the stories and traditions of her beloved Chuukese culture, and to shine a spotlight on the beauty of her homeland.
