On\u00a0October 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 27th of 2017, the Green Card Voices team traveled to\u00a0Atlanta to meet with high school students, teachers, principals. We also met with partner organizations:\u00a0Kennesaw State University (KSU)<\/a>,\u00a0Latin American Association<\/a>\u00a0and members of the\u00a0Welcoming America<\/a>. The purpose was to discuss a new book project involving 30 immigrant and refugee students attending\u00a0the majority immigrant high schools.<\/p>\n Based on a successful model used in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Fargo, the\u00a0Green Card Youth Voices<\/em>\u00a0book\u00a0series is a vehicle to generate awareness about the immigrant experience.
