Green Card Voices brings you our annual Voice-A-Thon which happens during Give to the Max on November 16th. Our goal is to fundraise $10,000 to continue and expand our life-changing work.
About Voice-A-Thon & Give to the Max
Give to the Max Day was created in 2009 to launch GiveMN, a collaborative venture led by Minnesota Community Foundation and many other organizations committed to helping make our state a better place. That initial spark touched off a blast of online giving—$14million in 24 hours.
Since then, Give to the Max Day has become an annual tradition. Every year thousands of organizations and individuals generate donations and excitement for Minnesota causes that are working to improve the quality of life for all Minnesotans.
Voice-A-Thon is our creative take on specifically using this opportunity to raise funds towards our work here at Green Card Voices.
Your donation fuels our a vision of inclusive communities through shared narratives, a mission that Green Card Voices has been committed to since 2014. This year, your support goes toward:
- Publishing Volume 3 of our bilingual Graphic Novel series, Chasing Dreams, Becoming a Doctor, in both English and Khmer.
Chasing Dreams, Becoming a Doctor tells the inspiring story of Kim Uy and her ability to adapt to cultures, learn languages other than Khmer—Chinese and English—and succeed wherever she goes.

Our staff and volunteers will be there 24 hours but you can join us from 10 am – 6 pm on November 18.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.
