Five Year Impact Report (2013 to 2018)

This first chapter traces how an idea in built in Minneapolis became a growing platform for first-person immigrant storytelling. We listened to storytellers, partnered with teachers and librarians, and built a simple model that could travel: stories recorded with care, books and exhibits that reach beyond one room, and tools that help classrooms connect.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS:

  • 5 books and 1 card game published
  • Recorded 400 stories
  • 8 traveling exhibitions produced
  • 421,211 total reach
  • 101 exhibit venues and 47 book readings
  • 272,200 video views
  • 13,052 books sold
